Best value dollar menus
When deciding upon which fast food establishment to "work the dollar menu" at, one must first carefully analyze this very difficult decision. Of course the dollar menu is the dollar menu, however there are simply "better value" dollar menus than others. My favorite dollar menus happen to be the big three: Wendy's, Burger King, and McDonalds. Let us begin with Wendy's. A personal favorite of mine for quite some time, has consistently maintained an extensive and stomach-filling dollar menu that is sure to satisfy. Sporting the Double Stack, the classic Junior bacon cheeseburger, chicken tenders, a chicken sandwich, three varieties of chicken wraps, and a regular fountain drink, Wendy's certainly adheres to the demands of the fast food nation and provides customers with a variety of tasty dollar menu items. Burger King's value menu boasts the famous Whopper Jr., a delicious and old fashioned charbroiled hamburger and also offers a spicy chicken sandwich, 5 crown shaped chicken tenders, onion rings, small fries, a side salad, apple pie, and a small drink. McDonald's dollar menu on the other hand features a four piece chicken nuggets, a McChicken sandwich, a cheeseburger, apple pie, small fries, a small sundae, and a small drink. Comparably these value menus are all very similar, however in reality two are a much better deal. McDonald's signature Double cheeseburger has been removed from the dollar menu at most franchise locations. For those who have not experienced the euphoria of indulging in a McDonald's doublecheesburger lathered in the signature "big mac sauce", you have yet to live. This had always been a dollar menu steal and since its removal I have focused my appetite towards more sufficient value menus. It is hard to dispute the financial legitimacy and personal satisfaction of both the Wendy's and Burger King's value menus and I will therefore proclaim these as the "best value" value menus. Not only are the items on the menu each filling, but BK and Wendy's simply have more extensive value menus. McDonald's has continued to maintain the highest standards in regards to fast food availability and variety yet recently I feel that the promotion campaigns of Wendy's and Burger King have outdone the McDonalds' team in terms of advertising their tastiest, most-filling, and most importantly cheapest items.
